Relax and Enjoy the diversity and beauty of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley and Masai Mara Game Reserve starting with 2 nights at Loldia House, an original Kenya home on an old farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Here guests can experience the Kenya of old, with its gentle pace of life,. Drive, walk or horseback ride among the herds of plains game which live alongside farm animals. Following that is 3 nights at Governors' Camp or Little Governors' Camp in the Masai Mara, offering the best game and bird-viewing in Kenya. The views across the rolling golden grasslands - studded with acacia trees, rivers and forests - are dazzling, the sense of space overwhelming.

Full Itinerary

Day 1
NAIROBI TO RIFT VALLEY (Loldia House)

Arrive Jomo Kenyatta International Airport off your international flight. Transfer by road through the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley down to Loldia House, nestling on the shores of Lake Naivasha. A two hour drive from Nairobi. Enjoy a delicious lunch on the lawn overlooking Mt Longonot.

Afternoon at leisure on the farm, with the option of a late afternoon horse ride or evening walk with Loldia’s resident naturalist or a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, witnessing the prolific variety of bird-life on the lake and the lake shore. Dinner and overnight at Loldia House

Day 2
RIFT VALLEY (Loldia House)

Early breakfast before departing to Lake Nakuru National Park. Morning game drive around Lake Nakuru, famous for its abundance of flamingos and large variety of water birds. Lake Nakuru is also one of Kenya’s Rhino Sanctuaries and large numbers of Rhinos are regularly seen, along with good sightings of Leopard. Lunch is served under the Acacia trees overlooking the lake. Returning to Loldia in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Loldia House..

Day 3
RIFT VALLEY - MASAI MARA (GOVERNORS CAMP)

Breakfast served on the lawns of Loldia House. After breakfast, there is the opportunity to take a boat ride or an exciting bird walk along the lakeshore with our resident naturalist. Lunch is served at 12.30 At 14.45 you will be transferred to the Loldia airstrip to catch the direct Safari link flight direct to the Mara. Arriving at the Governors’ airstrip at approximately 4:00pm. You will enjoy a short game drive en route to the camp. Pre dinner drinks around the campfire, a candlelit dinner in the dining tent and overnight at Governors’ Camp.

Day 4
MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (GOVERNORS CAMP)

Depart the camp at 5.15am to the Balloon Safari take off site at Little Governors’. A fabulous 1 hour Hot Air Balloon safari across the plains of the Masai Mara . On landing enjoy a champagne bush breakfast, freshly cooked in the middle of the Mara plains. Game drive back to camp. Spend the morning relaxing before lunch at the camp, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at Governors Camp.

Day 5
MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (GOVERNORS CAMP)

Early morning game drive at dawn, returning to the Camp for breakfast. A 10:30am game drive, returning to the camp for lunch. A 3:30pm game drive returning to camp before sundown. Dinner and overnight Governors’ Camp.
Optional extras available from Governors’ Camps in addition to the three daily game drives, are:- Guided Big Game walking safaris with one of the Camps’ resident professional guides, followed by a full cooked champagne bush breakfast. Afternoon walking safaris with sundowners are also available. Exciting flying safaris to Lake Victoria for fishing and birdwatching at Mfangano Island Camp can also be arranged.

Day 6
MASAI MARA - NAIROBI

Early morning game-drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. Late morning game drive, and a delicious lunch back at the camp. After lunch transfer to the airstrip to catch the scheduled flight departing at 4:00pm for Nairobi. Arriving at Wilson Airport at 5.00pm. Where you will be met and transferred to a restaurant for dinner (Dinner to be paid direct). After dinner transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Inernational Airport for your flight home.
